Everything that the owners and founders of the business (Sean McLatchy and Cristina McLatchy) do is aimed at continuing the local, personal, and authentic service that we provide now.

Because we are a smaller company, we are willing to take the time necessary to make sure that everything is right-from ensuring that all of the hangers line up properly to double (and sometimes even triple) checking the lay of the pipes-to make sure that you stay satisfied with our services. Not only that, but we are dedicated to remaining up-to-date with the latest advances in plumbing and heating technologies. We make it a point to stay abreast of all the changes in this constantly changing field.

We really are a company that believes in quality work. From our hot water installations and efficiency heating systems to remodeling and upgrades, we always provide the best quality for the price. We are licensed and insured, and can do residential and commercial work.

Sean McLatchy-
Sean has over 12 years in the business, installing heating and plumbing related work in countless areas, homes, and buildings. He has spent time as apprentice, journeyman, and now master plumber. He has a passion for perfection, always striving to create the best solution for every client. He works tirelessly to apply the rigorous standards of 1st Rate Plumbing and Heating to each and every job.

When he isn't installing for 1st Rate, he's busy as the head of the plumbing committee for Minuteman Tech in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he is currently setting up training courses for future plumbers.
